Background & Approach
Kim grew up competing in multiple sports, with ice hockey as his main focus. After winning the NWJHL Championship following high school, he went on to earn his B.Sc. in Kinesiology from the University of the Fraser Valley in 2012.
Since then, he has built a practice around the cases that genuinely challenge a clinician. His work spans sport injuries, chronic pain, ICBC motor vehicle accident rehab, joint dysfunction, and complex movement disorders. He has also worked with youth athletes including junior football and hockey players, provincial-level ski racers and cyclists, and competitors across multiple levels of sport.
Kim's approach is rooted in a whole-body assessment. Rather than treating the site of pain in isolation, he identifies all the contributing joint limitations and muscle imbalances that drive the problem. The result is a program that does not just manage symptoms but actually corrects the underlying movement patterns that caused the issue in the first place.
He founded Kenaz Training to build a facility where evidence-based rehab and performance training could coexist under one roof, with a team he trusts to hold the same standard. More than a decade into his career, that team now includes registered kinesiologists, physiotherapists, and certified trainers working with over 3,000 clients from Langley, Walnut Grove, Fort Langley, Aldergrove, Surrey, and across the Fraser Valley.
