Kim, head trainer and founder at Kenaz, graduated from the University of Fraser Valley with his Kinesiology Degree in April of 2012. He has spent a large part of his career working with sport injuries, chronic pain, ICBC car accidents and many other disorders/diseases. He focuses on a whole body approach, finding and treating all the joint limitations and muscle imbalances to create a more functional and well-balanced body, decreasing pain and increasing movement efficiency, power, and performance.

Kim grew up playing multiple sports but was most involved in ice hockey, highlighted by winning the North West Junior Hockey League (NWJHL) Championship following his high school graduation. He still laces up his skates in a men’s league, and spends his weekends golfing and hiking.

Kim has also worked with athletes at all levels of sport, including junior football players, hockey players, provincial-level ski racers, national-level pole vaulters, water polo players, and cyclists competing at the international level. Whether you come in as a beginner or an elite athlete, Kim will adapt to your body’s needs, finding the areas that will make the biggest difference to your goals. He enjoys shaping resilient young athletes, helping them to prevent injury and optimize performance. Kim also enjoys rehabilitating people with very complicated injuries who have tried everything!

“I was in a car accident last December where my car was totalled and I was injured. When I was at the point where I was in less pain, my chiropractor and massage therapist referred me to Kim Marshall. I started my rehab exercises with Kim at Kenaz in early summer and already, it has helped me so much. I am beginning to feel stronger again, and feel so inspired and motivated by Kim to keep on pushing forward. He makes the work outs fun with his energy, smile and wonderful sense of humour. He always asks me how I’m feeling and listens to my answers, and then adjusts the exercises when needed so that they’re always helping me towards my goal of being stronger and pain free. I’ve appreciated all of his knowledge and am always looking forward to my appointments... I feel like I’ve accomplished so much after each is finished. Also, the facility is so clean & has such a positive atmosphere due to Kim and the rest of the trainers there, and I am very happy to recommend Kim and Kenaz to anyone👍🏻He’s an amazing, caring person that sincerely wants to make a difference by helping the people who see him to be the best that they can be. Thank you for everything you’ve done to help me so far Kim - I’ve appreciated you so much!”
