Chris Walsh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Acadia University, a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Health Science (Athletic Therapy) from Sheridan College and is currently studying to be an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner at the Canadian College of Osteopathy.
Chris is a Certified Athletic Trainer in Professional baseball. Prior to his current role, Chris acquired a decade’s worth of experience working with active and injured athletes; from youth to professional, across a variety of sports. He started his career as a student therapist for Acadia University varsity sports, and as a personal trainer at the National Training Centre for Hockey. Since then he has interned with the Detroit Tigers (MLB), Toronto Marlies (AHL), and the Guelph Storm (OHL). After graduating from Sheridan College and successfully becoming a Certified Athletic Therapist, Chris spent 6 years with the Ontario Blue Jays as the Head Athletic Therapist and Head Strength and Conditioning coach. Chris has also spent time as a Lead Medical Practitioner with baseball at the Pan American Games.
Chris’ experiences have taught him the importance of a multifaceted dynamic approach to health and wellness. He leverages his manual therapy treatments with movement screens and exercise. He is certified in Functional Movement Systems (FMS, SFMA, & FCS), Titleist Performance Institute Screen, Fascial Distortion Manipulation, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, StrongFirst body weight movements, as well as Precision Nutrition.
His passion for Sport Performance and Therapy came from career ending injuries in junior hockey and college baseball. Chris strives to help others in their pursuit of physical wellness and performance, so that they can avoid injury and achieve their physical goals.
