How Kenaz’s 3-pillar approach to virtual fitness training sets you up for success

The pandemic has forced many of us to avoid training at gyms and explore virtual fitness training instead. If you're in the same boat, you might have figured out that you can do a great workout in your living room using just your body weight and minimal equipment, like a mat and a couple of dumbbells.

Luckily, our certified personal trainers here at Kenaz have offered virtual personal training sessions and online fitness classes to clients over the past seven years. Together, we’ve helped thousands of people reach their fitness goals through home workouts without any compromises.

How do we do this so successfully?

When you get your workouts in with Kenaz's personal trainers, you benefit from our 3-pillar approach to online fitness training that’s designed to give you the best workout online.

Here's what our unique approach to virtual personal training covers:

1) Fitness

Before you get started with our one-on-one virtual personal training services, we start by building you a customized fitness plan. Our programs differ from person to person depending on your specific:

  • Fitness goals

  • Fitness levels

  • Abilities or limitations due to injury

  • What types of workouts you actually enjoy

  • What equipment you have at home

  • How much space you have at home

  • How much time you have for a fitness routine in a typical week

You then end up with an exercise program that not only suits your level of fitness but one that you’re also going to enjoy so you can stay motivated. All you have to do next is crush your sessions.

2) Nutrition

Fitness and nutrition go hand in hand. You don’t want to be doing your workouts and not see the results you were hoping for because of an overlooked diet.

You don’t have to worry about us putting you on any kind of fad diet at Kenaz. Our virtual personal trainers and nutrition coaches will coach you on how to alter and improve your diet to reach the goals you’ve discussed together.

And we don’t just slap you with a nutrition plan telling you what to eat. We help you understand the why behind it all. The more you understand why the right amounts of food groups are so important, as well as the timing of your meals, the more committed to your plan you’ll be.

Changing up your diet is challenging for so many people. When you try to make too many changes too fast, it almost always goes out of the window.

Our online personal trainers make sure that your diet plans is simple enough that you can actually follow it! We start you off with baby steps to make sure you’re successful.

During the first week, we might ask you to drink more daily glasses of water than you currently do.

The next week, we might ask you to commit to getting your 3 meals a day.

And then the next week, we might push you to work in two more vegetables in your lunch and dinner meals.

Because these changes are so small and gradual, you’re much more likely to make them and enjoy the experience too.

By making sure your nutrition is getting the attention it deserves, you’ll soon be well on your way to more balanced nutrition that supports your goals and overall health.

3) Accountability

The last part of our 3-pillar approach to virtual fitness training is accountability, the glue that holds everything together.

The reason that our clients are so successful at Kenaz is because our coaches connect with you on a daily basis to make sure you stay on track. Without this accountability, it can be easy to trail off from your workout and nutrition plan.

Our trainers connect with you through the Trainerize app’s messaging feature to check in with you every day.

Your personal trainer will ask you things like:

  • How did you find your training session or home workout today?

  • If you didn’t get it done, what obstacles prevented you?

  • Did you get all of your meals in today?

  • Did you get everything we recommended in your meals or were you missing something?

  • How did you sleep last night? How is your energy today?

  • How are your stress levels today? Are you feeling alright or anxious about something?

  • How are you feeling in terms of your mental and emotional health today? Is there anything else we can help with?

  • Do you have any feedback on what's been working for you and what's not working great?

  • Are there any adjustments you want to make to your training program?

Our virtual fitness coaches aren’t just there to ask you yes or no questions through the Trainerize platform. We’re here to have genuine conversations and check on your comprehensive health.

Because of this 3-pillar approach to virtual personal training, we've helped plenty of clients meet their goals while forming long-lasting and positive relationships with our personal trainers.
